Fresh Fruit Juicing to Body Cleanse & Detox

Bookmark and Share

Fresh fruit juicing is the quickest way to absorb tons of vitamins, nutrients and minerals that the body needs to maintain health, keep your immune system strong and facilitate body cleansing.

Drinking bottled juices does not have the same benefits as fresh fruit juices because bottled juice contains preservatives and added sugars. In many cases, the nutritional content of the fruit is changed when it's bottled because the manufacturing process alters the molecular structure of the fruit.

Tips and Benefits

Consume your freshly squeezed juices right away, as they are sensitive to air and light and lose all their nutritional and health benefits quickly.

Freshly squeezed fruit juices are an excellent source of essential minerals such as copper, iodine, iron, magnesium, potassium and sodium. They’re also naturally cleansing because of their water content.

Watermelon, as the name suggests, has a very high water content and is an exceptional detoxifier. Juice it along with its seeds, which are extremely nutritious and its rind that contains chlorophyll.

Grape juice is another great cleanser. It is good for your nervous system and also has anti-bacterial, laxative and diuretic effects on the body.

Melon juices are great kidney cleansers. Drink melon juice alone, not with other fruits or vegetables. The rind is filled with chlorophyl, enzymes and minerals and could be juiced as well.

Apple juice has a laxative effect and aids in digestion.

Pineapple juice has an anti-inflammatory effect and is very good to alleviate arthritic symptoms.

Adding fruit to your vegetable concoctions can make them taste better.

One little known juice that can be used as flavor is coconut juice which is made by liquefying the meat of the coconut. When mixed with fruits like grapefruit, which are high in Vitamin C, B1 and B12, potassium and calcium, you are drinking a valuable body cleansing juice that can help to keep your immune system strong.

Grapefruit rind (that's the white pithy part just under the outer skin) is also high in Vitamin P and beneficial bioflavanoids. Bioflavanoids are powerful antioxidants and anti cancer agents.

DO NOT juice the skin though. It contains toxic oils that can cause digestive upset. The same for oranges and tangerines.

Lemon and lime peels can be juiced as well but wash well first to remove any wax or pesticides and better yet buy organic. You can just juice them whole (pits and all).

Watermelon rind and pits are fine.

Apple seeds contain some cyanide, so make sure to remove the seeds before juicing.

The seeds in melons and grapes can be juiced.

Remove the skins of papaya, mango, kiwi and pineapple.

All pits such as plum pits or peach pits should be removed.

CAUTION Fruit is filled with sugar. If you have sugar issues, I suggest you not ingest them.
